Why daily swim lessons change everything

By Marcus Bell, Waterfront Head · June 2026

A young camper swimming with goggles

On day one we swim-test every camper and sort them into level groups. By Friday, the change is visible from the dock: straighter backs, louder cheers, kids who beg for "one more lap."

Small groups, real progress

Four swimmers per instructor means nobody waits and nobody hides. Beginners master floats and glides in the roped shallows; advanced groups work on strokes, diving, and junior lifeguard skills.

Confidence that travels

Here's the part parents don't expect: the kid who conquers the deep end on Tuesday volunteers for the climbing wall on Thursday. Water confidence becomes try-anything confidence, and that's the whole point of camp.

Safety you can verify

Certified lifeguards, buddy checks every fifteen minutes, and a sandy-entry swim area for younger kids. Come watch a lesson any morning — the dock gate is always open to families.
